Lauren is an artist, social worker and creative facilitator who has a background in organising craft fairs and community events.

She has been developing ideas around the concept of Thortify since studying for her social work degree in 2014. Lauren cares a great deal about equality and social justice, feeling very strongly about the need to promote empowered self care and to celebrate creativity in whatever form that takes.

She does not have pink hair.

Debra (The Bee) is an origami loving, tree hugging teacher and writer with experience of coordinating educational support for young people and facilitating craft therapy workshops, including Bee Creative.

She ran a very successful eco sewing business for seven years and had a stall at Lauren’s very first MollyQueen Market, they have been creative soul mates ever since.

Debra also writes creative blogs, and articles for comunity magazine The Beestonian.

Gloria is a Nottingham-based theatre-maker, lecturer, researcher and producer. She works across a range of creative and academic settings and through her creative practice, has developed work in/for both specialised performance spaces and non-theatre spaces including homes, hospitals, schools, cathedrals, museums and village halls. Alongside touring and developing theatre work, she undertakes ACE access support work to help other artists to bring their projects to life. She is a gloriously busy Mum to two wonderful children.

Evie is an illustrator & graphic designer based in Nottingham. She loves collaborating and exploring different ways to help to make the world a brighter place.

She loves working with colour and texture to create fun, friendly designs for all the family. Evie has a particular interest in nature and animals and so these tend to be the focus of much her work. Evie studied Illustration at the University of Westminster and graduated during 2020 with a first class honours. During the pandemic, Evie created relaxing colouring sheets to help people cope through a mindful, creative activity.
